Preview Datalinq field in INews

I have created a template with a Datalinq field for use in INews by our producers. When I attempt to edit the field in INews it times out giving me the error below. However, when I start the Datalinq server on my local machine it works. Obviously I'd like BlueBox to provide the Datalinq connection for producers on our network, but I don't see a Datalinq menu option in the BlueBox GUI or in the INews configuration.

    Hey,

Datalinq is saved as part of the project options.

It looks like on your designer or studio you have saved it as local host, then when you've put it on the bluebox it's looking locally for the Datalinq server but I guess it isn't running.

You can either run datalinq locally and copy you datalinq (file export / file import or append) to that machine.

Or in the project you can change where it says localhost to an IP address where datalinq server is running save and send a copy to the bluebox, then it will look for a network location of where datalinq is.

    Thanks again for the reply.

I believe I have saved and published the project with the correct host address set in XPression Datalinq Manager (shown below). Is there perhaps another place I need to change the host address to save it with the project?

No that should be it, can the bluebox machine access that address?

I am wondering if that bluebox has a datalinq license. Can you run the license tool on it and see what is licensed?

Does it make any difference that the Datalinq server is running on the same machine as the BlueBox service?

It looks like that BlueBox isn't licensed to connect to Datalinq Server even if it's running locally the BlueBox can't actually connect to it, it's a license that can be added remotely though.
