  • 1.  Copy custom panel?

New to Dashboard-we have a custom panel for controlling our Pivotcam PTZ cameras built by our integrator that I would like to reconfigure. Since I'm a newbie, I don't want to inadvertently destroy what's already working and also don't want to start building a panel from scratch if I can help it. Is there a way I can copy an existing panel to a new (renamed of course) panel and do my "learning" on the copy? Or perhaps save (backup) the existing panel somewhere so that if I screw up, I can restore it? If the only option is that I must start  completely with a blank canvas, can I at least copy and and paste controls and widgets to the new panel?

    Hi Steve,

Thanks for your question. If you want to get your own copy of the custom panel. On the DashBoard, you can go to files, and click save as... and give it a new name. Then you can have your own copy of this custom panel, so you can learn and modify your own copy.

Perfect, thanks. Using some of Ben's excellent video tutorials, I attached the original and my revised custom panel. My video directors love it and I'm a happy camper, too. The one with the horizontal arrangement of cameras is the original.
