  • 1.  Attaching audio to video on flying key in Blackstorm

I am looking to attach an audio file to a TGA flying key stored on the blackstorm and run, via macro, on a carbonite.

    Any ideas?

Probably best to just use After Effects to make the TGA and Audio into a single Animation Codec .MOV

Or depending on how many of these you have you can just use the Internal Media Store of the Carbonite to do it. Just make sure the TGA sequence i.e. WIPE_000.TGA and the Audio name the same WIPE.WAV are in the same folder on the USB of the switcher and they will automatically be put together.

    Thanks Les.

The animated .mov codec seems to be unreliable. It seems to cue and play the clip on intermittent runs of the macro it is attached to. This seems to occur repetitively with several .mov files where .tga playlists do not. However, I have been unable to attach audio to a .tga sequence.

On another issue, Is it possible to replicate a 'white flash' transition

    Thanks

    Hi Paul,

If you are seeing a "slip" with some of the Cue/Play custom controls then you need to add a longer pause between the Cue of the Clip and then the Play command being sent.

Well there is a couple of ways to do White Flashes. You could make a TGA Sequence and just load it into the Media Store of the Switcher and use the Media Wipe to do this. Or you build it as a CC where you put White(colour BKGD set to white) into Key 4 and then use it like you would a Animated Wipe from the BVS.
