Hi Wil,
First of all, it is possible, with some caveats, for 2 x Mira replay machines to share clips across a network - they cannot be used to work together as one larger replay machine but they could share clips between them.
However, both machines need to use the same codec.
Therefore, could you please confirm what version of codec your new Mira+ system is? You can do this by going into the Engineering Setup menu and seeing if you are able to set the machine to work in 1080p - you don't need to change it to 1080p but just see if you could. If you are able to, ie that menu setting exists, then it will be an AVC-I 100 machine.
Secondly, we need to find out what the vintage your older Mira is . Again, could you check to see if it can be set up work in 1080p? How old is that older machine? If you are unable to tell, then perhaps you could direct message me its serial number and I could check for you,

Subject: Maximizing Mira Replay Options
I work in a newly built control room. I have a good background with Xpression and Carbonite switchers, but I am very new to the Mira system. The new control room has a 4 in 2 out mira+ system. Our old control room has an older 3 in 1 out mira system. I would like to start using the old system again, so we will have more replay angles to choose from. Is there a way to "combine" the systems so they can share clips and files? I've search the internet for mira tutorials but Ross has very few compared to the rest of their products. The two screen shots below from the Mira page on Ross' website is all the information I've been able to find.------------------------------
