    Hello,
    I am trying to get a clip to loop on an evs that is controlled from an acuity via VDCP protocol. My initial findings are that VDCP does not support the loop command. Does anyone have an idea on how to get the clips to loop?

    EVS does not support "enabling" loop via VDCP. The Acuity can be configured to "do its best" to loop the clip for you but it will have issues where you will see a stutter sometimes due to the fact that it has to do the CUE Play thing on the frame at the end of the clip.

    Thanks for the reply. I was looking into this more today and could not figure out where you were suggesting tricking the acuity into "doing its best". Do you mean editing the macro so that when it reaches the end of the clip to Recue and Play? What commands would you give the macro to do this? In speaking with EVS they are suggesting a VDCP command they they accept called Autocue and Autochain. By enabling these the EVS server will essentially automatically recue the clip and auto chain will play as soon as the previous clip is done. Is there a way to do this from the accuity switcher?

    No when you configure the clip you can do loop. With a Custom Control you can enable loop mode from the insert event menu. Based on the server we do the loop differently. Yes we were informed of this method and will be looking into implementing it.

    v9.2c is in PV and it will have the Loop for EVS and additional Play after Loop commands required .

    Once out of PV it will be available for download.
