Hi Steve,
For that, you need to use the Source tab to look in your code for lines like this - the objectid determines the device that is referred to by any parameters within that element.
<abs contexttype="opengear" objectid="com.rossvideo.camera.generic<br>Slot 1<br>PTZ-Camera" objecttype="PTZ-Camera" >
If you right click on a node in your DashBoard tree, and select connection settings, you will see its id shown as node-id.

Subject: Dashboard Label for PTZ-12G
Thanks for the responses Barbara and James! I "almost" got it working. As you can see on the attached video, my panel has controls for 3 cameras. After I placed and formatted the first label for camera 3 and tested it, it works perfectly. When I added the second label for camera 2 (I did NOT just do a copy) the label did not change when I opened or closed the iris. Then I noticed as I went back to change the iris settings for camera 3 that both labels (for Cam #3 and Cam #2) were changing with the same values. I can't tell how it knows in the code which camera it is showing values for except that possibly it depends on where the code is placed in the file. That's why on the video I am showing you that it chose to place the lines of code for both labels consecutively in the file. I'm guessing that's the issue but have no clue how to correct it. In addition to the video, I also included the file itself.

Hi Steve,
For the iris on a PTZ panel, you need paintbox.iris.control. Using the Params -> Label option in the DashBoard toolbox, you can select your target parameter and you should get something like this
<param expand="true" height="82" left="145" oid="paintbox.iris.control" top="300" widget="100" width="197"/>

Hi Steve
If the information you are looking for is already exposed as a control, I would recommend using the Param Inspector to find out which OID has the data - you can then put that parameter on your custom panel and change the OID to 'label'.
Please let me know if you require more information - I will also forward this to our Camera and Robotics teams.
Cheers

I posted this nearly a month ago and no one responded. Is it possible to create a label in Dashboard that will display the current f-stop of each of my PTZ-12G cameras? If so, can someone post the code to do it? I'm already using the iris control widget on my panel but because I have preset buttons and other controls, I don't have room to expand that iris control to shot the value that's included in the center scale.
If it's not possible, just let me know. Thanks in advance.

I have a custom Dashboard panel I created to control our 3 PTZ-12G cameras. Is there a simple way to create a label that could display the current f-stop being used?
