    HI all,

Has anyone had any issues with the Material Editor eye dropper tool? Meaning, you hover the eye dropper over red (or any colour) but the selected colour is showing anything but that colour?
In the screen shot I've included I'm hovering the dropper over the red quad (I couldn't seem to get a screen shot with the eye dropper included but trust me, it's there) but the selection it showing grey (or other random colours that I'm not hovering over). At first I thought maybe it was a layering issue but in this scene there's only the one red quad. I've also tried the dropper tool in both the "Layer 1" and "Gradient" options... same result.

I'm still somewhat new to Xpression so it's probably something simple like "you forgot to click the *x* button"!

    Thanks for any help!

Are your display setting set to something other than 100%?

    Hi
I am trying to figure out what you changed to make this work for you know Donny. I am looking at Simon's screen shot but for some reason I don't see what made the eye dropper work for you know with what Simon suggested. Can you share please what you did?
    Thanks

Those settings are in your Windows settings. So open "Settings" from the start menu, select "System" and then "Display". From there you have to set the screen scale to 100%. I had mine set to 150% so it was easier on the eyes. I guess when you do that the eye dropper is working as though the screen is set at 100%? ... which is a bit annoying!
I'm not sure if you have to have your monitor(s) resolution set to their native size or not though. Mine is though and the dropper is working as it should.

Let me know how it goes.

    Hi Donny.
I will try to move my setting to 100%. It is at 125% right now. As you know it makes the screen smaller when you scale it down. I like the bigger text.
I am using an extended multi display. So not sure if that would effect anything.

Oh did you restart your computer after you made the change?

Nope, didn't have to restart. Yeah, I keep my monitors (extended as well) at 150% normally. If I (or we) need the eye dropper tool I guess we'll have to zoom the monitors out to 100%. Kind of a pain!
