Hey there, I've run into this a couple of times. The general default from a Mac that I use is ANIMATION codec (RGB + ALPHA if needed); this will give you a .mov file. Encoder should recognize it though. "Animation" codec should be installed with After Effects no matter what operating system. ...

Hi Simon, thank you for this. What if you had multiple scene directors? Could you change the line to specify which scene director? scene.SceneDirector.SceneDirectorName.Position = 120 Would the above work as well? #XPression

Hello all, I was just curious about something. Whenever I apply a .jpg image to my template from the sequencer it appears correctly. When I apply a .jpeg image the same way it's always rotated 90 degrees. Has anyone else encountered this?

Not sure what version you are using... But I think if you use the TEXT FOR BOX BoundingBox.Width.Scaled Not sure, but I think that may work for you. #XPression

Off the top of my head... Do you have Quicktime Player installed on your machine. Also, have you tried a test file that is a QuickTime.mov file with animation codec? #XPression

Sorry David, I don't know about that. I always name items (in the "Name" field") in my sequence as I build them. Credit_1, Credit_2, etc... I'm not familiar with Ross Inception at all. Another note though... The "Play Range" works with animated graphics too. It also works in reverse; 100 to 0. ...

HI Chad, I run into this often; I don't know if there is a way in the Export To Image menu to select all to be "Single Frame"; but this is what I do. I highlight all the credit pages in the sequencer. Then in the Scene Control tab I set the "Play Range" to 0 to 0. Then in the Export To Image ...

Hi Nathan, I don't have 9.0 but this should work... as for #2... On the sequencer side, select the item(s) you want to export. In the Take Inspector, select the "Scene Control" tab. In the bottom left there should be the "Play Range" option. Select it, then set the Frame range (in most cases 0 ...

Hi Nathan, not sure about #1; I always name items (in the name column) as I build; which will carry over to Export. As for #2; not sure what version you are using, I'm on 6.5 and higher, but I will select all (Still Image) items in my sequencer, then set the "play range" from 0 to 0 (or whatever ...

Hello XPression wizards... I'm looking for help with a preview option for Auto Start Materials. I'm using XPression v7.0 build 3800 I have a L3 scene for social media handles. The animated bar has the social logo attached to it. This scene also has a video matte to reveal the text only. I have ...

We are currently using v7.0 build 3000. Thanks for the info... The show ends in May and not my machine; and not a huge problem. Glad to hear it's addressed in v8.5. #XPression

I have a scene in my sequencer that I use for still images. The play range is selected and set to 0 to 0. But for some reason when I copy paste this scene, the pasted copy sets the play range to 0 to 100. I'm not sure why this is happening. Is there something I'm doing wrong. I want the pasted scene ...

Thanks bford. After seeing your example, it occurred to me to resend my scene to the Sequencer. Then it worked exactly as I wanted. Thank you. #XPression

So I kept working on this, occured to me that String Compare outputs a Boolean as opposed to an Integer. So I routed it to a Input selector and then routed that output to the Scene Director.Play. On the Layout side it works perfectly now. From the Sequencer, when I take to air the text dissolves immediately. ...
